Jonathan Haggerty showcased his world-class kicking technique in a recent training video.
Haggerty is currently preparing for a massive opportunity awaiting at ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video. The former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion is looking to pull off an upset against Nong-O Hama to become the bantamweight king. He updated fans on his training with an Instagram video that had the caption:
“Skills pay the bills 👀 @onechampionship #AndTheNew #2x”
‘The General’ made his ONE debut in January 2019, defeating Joseph Lasiri before becoming the flyweight champion against Sam-A Gaiyanghadao. Unfortunately for him, he was unable to defend and reclaim the throne as Rodtang Jitmuangnon beat him in back-to-back fights.
Haggerty bounced back from his series against Rodtang by defeating Taiki Naito and Mongkolpetch Petchyindee. He last fought at a catchweight of 148 lbs, taking out Vladimir Kuzmin by a decision. ‘The General’ is now committing to the bantamweight division with his upcoming bout against Nong-O.

If ‘The General’ can take out the Thai phenom, his legacy would be solidified as one of the best strikers in ONE’s history.
