VADODARA: Two days after an elderly woman was gored to death by cows, an aged man was injured by a bovine in the Mangleshwar Jhampa area of the city on Sunday.
The man or his family, however, refrained from registering an offence regarding the incident. Sources said that the man was walking on a street when a cow suddenly came from behind and knocked him down on Sunday. He suffered injuries on the face near the eye as well as arms. He had to be given first aid.
On Friday, an elderly woman died after she was knocked down and then injured with horns by cows in the Maneja area of the city. An offence was registered regarding the incident and a man whose cow was involved in the incident was also arrested. The civic body has impounded over 150 bovines since Friday. It has also expedited the process of tagging bovines both on their ears and with injectable RFID tags.
