Two arrested for threatening ex-Aldona MLA

Calangute: Calangute police arrested two persons for allegedly threatening former Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo and damaging his car in a road-rage incident recently.
Police said they received a complaint that on Friday at 11.45pm when Ticlo was exiting a resort in Calangute, a two-wheeler rider got into an altercation with him claiming that he was blocking the road. The argument soon escalated and the two-wheeler rider, Sarvesh Divkar, called two of his friends to the spot and the three then damaged Ticlo’s car. They also threatened to kill him and another person who was in the car.
The two friends have been identified as Malcolm Fernandes and Jaylon. Calangute police arrested Divkar and Fernandes, both residents of Nagoa, while they are on the look out for Jaylon.
An offence under provisions of the IPC has been registered. Further investigations are on.
