Mysuru: Deputy commissioner K V Rajendra has directed all oil marketing agencies supplying cooking gas cylinders not to demand delivery charges from its customers for supplying within 15 kilometers of the centre, as delivery costs will be included in their bill amount, including their establishment charges. As the government is providing Rs 61.84 commission for agencies licence holders, including Rs 27.60 delivery charges for the supply of each cylinder, the agencies must not collect extra amount from customers. They must include the delivery charges in the bill amount for customers staying beyond 15 kilometers, but they should not demand excess above the mentioned bill amount as it amounts to violation of Liquified Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Supply and Distribution Order 2000 Act). He warned that the licence of gas agencies will be suspended if they are found to be demanding excess sum from the
customers.
