IRCTC shares up 0.84% as Sensex rises

Shares of Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd. gained 0.84 per cent to Rs 618.95 in Monday's session as of 12:20PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 619.55 points higher at 60428.52.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 840.05 and a 52-week low of Rs 557.0 on NSE. Around 25619 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:20PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 616.9 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 619.9 and Rs 614.3 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 52.55, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 11.76 and price to book value (PB) of 6.58, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 35.22.

Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 62.4 per cent stake in the company as of March 06, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 6.84 per cent and 0.54 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2022, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 948.82 crore, up 14.07 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 831.8 crore and up 70.49 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 255.53 crore for the latest quarter, up 22.37 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
