‘Project for tech-savvy policing in Hry a success’
Chandigarh: Haryana Police on Sunday claimed to have successfully implemented the much-awaited Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) project of the Centre.
It is being considered an important step to make the state police tech-savvy. The ICJS project has been implemented in the entire country through the Union ministry of home affairs (MHA). A Haryana Police spokesperson on Sunday said the project had been implemented as a central sector scheme. Haryana Police has succeeded in tracing 45 vehicles, 67 proclaimed offenders and bail jumpers and two most wanted criminals using the ICJS project, said the official. Apart from this, 4 FIRs have also been lodged in the state on the above data.The software works on the principle of one data-one entry In the first phase of ICJS project, different IT systems have been implemented and managed. These systems have also been made capable of searching records. State crime records bureau director OP Singh said the ICJS system was being made available through a cloud-based infrastructure. tnn
