Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was sent to Judicial Custody till March 20 in Excise Policy Case on March 06. Speaking on the same, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on March 06 said that the party welcomes the court’s decision as CBI had no questions left to be asked to Manish Sisodia and to demand further custody. He said, “Today the hearing was about whether Manish Sisodia will go to judicial custody or he will be under CBI’s arrest for further interrogation. CBI had no questions left for Manish ji hence, they could not ask for his custody. Even last time, Police custody was extended with difficulties as CBI was left with no basis to further interrogate him. Hence we welcome today’s decision by the court and believe this was the best option for Manish Sisodia in this scenario.”
