ON Semiconductor to equip BMW electric drivetrains under new supply agreement

  • ON Semiconductor (NASDAQ:ON) on Monday announced a long-term supply agreement with German carmaker BMW for one of its power module technologies.
  • The agreement is for ON's EliteSiC technology for use in BMW's electric drivetrains for 400 V DC Bus.
  • "onsemi's latest EliteSiC 750 V M3 die is used in a full bridge power module delivering several hundred kWs of power," the company said in a statement.
  • ON stock was marginally up by 0.4% to $77.71 after hours.
