Man kills lover of his wife, injures wife

Prayagraj: A man allegedly stabbed the lover of his wife to death and also injured his wife in Aam Godar village under the limits of Shankargarh police station late on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Son Karan Yadav (23), a resident of Kota Galiya while injured woman identified as Nirmala, a resident of Aam Godar was admitted at a hospital for treatment.
The police have detained the accused identified as Ganga alias Gajendra, a resident of Shankargarh. Police said that Ganga and his wife Nirmla used to have brawls over woman’s alleged illicit relationship with another man who belonged to her native village of Kota Galiya. Things went worse when Ganga had ousted wife from his house and she started living with her paramour in same village.
On being irked over her wife’s illicit relationship, Ganga attacked Son Karan and his wife with a sharp edge weapon when they were sleeping at their hut late on Saturday night. Son Karan, a driver by profession, died on the spot while the woman was admitted at a hospital where her condition was stated to be critical.
