GURGAON: After a brief relief from rising heat due to cloudy skies and gusty winds, the city once again experienced warm weather conditions on Sunday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 14.2 degrees Celsius — three notches above normal, against 16.3 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 29.1 degrees Celsius — two notches above the normal. It was 26.6 degrees on Saturday. However, more clouds, winds and light rain are on the horizon. Another western disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region, an official said.
According to the Met department, the weather is likely to be the same on Monday with the possibility of strong surface winds with a speed between 20 and 30 kmph, while there is a slight chance of very light rain or drizzle on Wednesday.
“Under the influence of western disturbance, isolated rainfall and snowfall activity is likely over the hills and western and central parts of the country between March 5 and March 8. Though the weather conditions in Haryana will largely remain dry and clear for the next two days, there is a slight possibility of isolated rain on Wednesday,” said Manmohan Singh, director of IMD Chandigarh.
“The weather is likely to be warm in the coming days, but it is likely to get disturbed with windy and cloudy conditions emerging on Wednesday due to the approaching weather system. North-south trough has been formed towards Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh which will trigger some weather activity, while dry northerlies winds are currently dominating Delhi-NCR.” said Navdeep Dahiya, founder of live weather of India.
