Rs 12,000 crore-fraud: Accused purchased 1000 bighas of land

JAIPUR: A day after arresting the four main promoters of Nexa green company for an alleged cheating of over Rs 12,000 crore, Sikar police on Sunday stated that the accused purchased more than 1,000 bigha at Dholera in Gujarat from the hard earned money of investors. Police said that all of them wanted to leave India and were all set to visit Dubai, but due to a look out circular issued against them they could not execute this plan.
On Saturday Sikar police had arrested the accused identified as Subash Birjaniya, Ranvir Birjaniya, Opendra Birjaniya and Amarchand Dhaka the kingpins behind the fraud by inviting people to invest in land in Gujarat.
"In the interrogation so far it has been found that the accused had purchased more than 1000 bigha in Gujarat. Our team will visit Gujarat to see their properties and by taking legal opinion we will get an order through court for the attachment of their properties," Karan Sharma, superintendent of police, Sikar, told TOI.
Sharma said that they had invested in lands at Dholera in Gujarat and other areas. "In the interrogation we will ask them about their other investments too as they have taken the hard earned money of many investors from multiple districts," he said. All the four accused were produced in a court on Sunday and were taken in a police remand of 5-days.
