Army jawan injured in mine blast along LoC, airlifted

JAMMU: An Army jawan suffered injuries on Sunday when he inadvertently stepped over a strayed landmine along the Line of Control in Poonch district of J&K.
A soldier identified as Naik Rajeev Kumar this afternoon sustained injuries after he accidentally stepped over a strayed/drifted landmine which suddenly exploded near LoC in Krishna Ghati sector, official sources said.
They said that the injured jawan was evacuated and airlifted to a field hospital for advanced treatment.
