Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 14.94%), National Fertilizer(up 6.43%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 5.00%), Madras Fertlizers(up 5.00%), ZUARIAGRO(up 4.93%), Bohra Industries(up 4.30%), Coromandel International(up 2.97%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 2.78%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 2.49%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 2.49%) stood among the top gainers.
Sikko Industries(down 1.90%), KRISHANA(down 1.19%), Agro Phos(down 1.15%) and Aries Agro(down 0.09%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 117.1 points up at 17711.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 415.49 points at 60224.46.
Adani Enterprises(up 5.5%), Tata Motors(up 2.83%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.56%), NTPC(up 2.43%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.27%), Infosys(up 1.9%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.88%), Asian Paints(up 1.26%), Eicher Motors(up 1.24%) and HDFC(up 1.08%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Britannia Industries(down 2.09%), Tata Steel(down 1.26%), JSW Steel(down 1.18%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.58%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.51%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.51%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.24%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.21%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.17%) and Divis Laboratories(down 0.13%) closed in the red.
