Brick laden vehicle catches fire

Prayagraj: Panic gripped Jhunsi and adjoining areas under the limits of Daraganj police station on Sunday after a brick laden vehicle caught fire in middle of Shastri bridge. Three persons including the driver had a narrow escape. All the three jumped from the ill -fated vehicle.
A team of fire department rushed the spot and controlled the fire within half of hour. Short circuit in cables was cited as reason behind the incident.
The fire in the moving vehicle left the commuters puzzled who raised an alarm. The incident also caused a jam like situation on the busy Jhunsi road for some time. However, timely arrival of fire department personnel controlled the incident at the earliest. The incident, as per police, took place when the vehicle was in its way to city from trans-Ganga area.
