Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) has expanded its delivery partnership with DoorDash (DASH) based on e-mails sent to customers.
The coffee chain is expected to have DoorDash (DASH) delivery available in all 50 states this month.
The expansion follows on the heels of positive feedback from a successful pilot in Atlanta, Houston, and Sacramento, and additional market expansion in Seattle, Portland, and New York City last year. Through the partnership and as the largest local commerce platform in the country, DoorDash (DASH) is noted to provide a delivery platform to enable increased, convenient access to Starbucks nationwide.
Starbucks (SBUX) offers approximately 95% of its core menu items on DoorDash (DASH) and the same customization features. The Seattle-based company said it has developed packaging solutions to help ensure the quality of hot and cold menu items including stickers for beverages to avoid spilling, tamper evident packaging, and delivery-specific cup holders.
On Monday, Starbucks (SBUX) unveiled an offering for a $3 discount on DASH orders of over $15 made between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The offer runs through March 24.
