Umesh Pal murder case: UP Police guns down Atiq Ahmed's sharpshooter Usman Chaudhary in encounter
The slain shooter, identified as Vijay Chaudhary alias Usman (27), was a resident of Dhoomanganj.
PRAYAGRAJ: In a major development, a joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) and Kaudhiyara police gunned down a shooter, wanted in connection with Umesh Pal murder case, in an encounter near Kaudhiyara area in the trans-Yamuna pocket of Prayagraj district early Monday.
The slain shooter, identified as Vijay Chaudhary alias Usman (27), was a resident of Dhoomanganj. He was carrying Rs 50,000 cash reward. A constable was reportedly injured in the encounter.

"Acting on a tip-off that criminals wanted in Umesh Pal murder case have taken shelter in trans-Yamuna pocket, a joint team of SOG and Kaudhiyara police launched a search operation," said Prayagraj police commissioner Ramit Sharma.

Usman was injured in exchange of fire with police. He was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police commissioner Sharma said that Usman was the first shooter who had allegedly opened fire on Umesh Pal and one of his police gunners, as captured in the CCTV footage. Despite having the name of Vijay Chaudhary, alias Vijay Pal, the slain criminal was known as Usman in Atiq Gang.

Uttar Pradesh deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that police & STF have been deployed to keep situation under control. "Police shot the accused and are investigating the matter. Everyone involved will get punished by the law," he said.
Cops are compiling more details about him.
Earlier, another criminal, Arbaaz, involved in a shootout, was killed in a police encounter last week while another Sadakat, who was allegedly involved in hatching conspiracy, was arrested by STF.
