The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday have reached the residence of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi in Patna to question her about the land-for-job case. As per the reports, the probe agency has dismissed their actions to be a raid.

As per the reports, the CBI visited the former Bihar CM’s house to record her statement. The officials have also told the media that the probe agency had taken an appointment with the Devi prior to their visit.

The RJD workers have also assembled near the Rabri Devi’s residence and have begun sloganeering demanding for the CBI to go back, said reports.

CBI court in Delhi last month had directed former several including Union railway minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav, and his wife Rabri Devi, as well as his daughter Misa Bharti to present themselves before the court in the land-for-jobs scam case.

As per the reports, the FIR had accused that Lalu Yadav and his kins had bought lands for cheaper rates in return of giving jobs during his term as Union Railway minister. The CBI had also filled a chargesheet in October 2022 and accused Lalu Yadav and family including 13 others in the land-for-job scam. As per the reports, the scam was dated back to be between 2004 and 2009 when Lalu Yadav served as railway minister.

According to the CBI claims, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family including 13 others used to give out jobs in return of land. The CBI, in their claims, also cited that the few candidates who were appointed into the railways used to give their lands to Bihar’s Former Chief Minster and his family.

The CBI highlighted the alleged discrepancies in the job appointment in Railways and had also claimed that substitutes were also appointed without their being a requirement for the post. It was also claimed by the probe agency that the date of joining of the substitutes and the date of approval had a large gap in the middle. The RJD leaders, however, have dismissed the claims by the probe agency and termed the investigation by the CBI to be politically motivated.

The questioning by the CBI at Rabri Devi’s Patna residence comes a day after eight Opposition parties wrote to the Prime Minister of India and slammed the Centre for using central agencies for political purpose. Among the signatories in the letter was also Lalu Yadav’s son and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

There has been a ruckus in Delhi’s politics since the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia. AAP leaders are constantly questioning the central government and the BJP and today party’s spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj accused the CBI of mentally torturing Manish Sisodia in a press conference and said that he is being pressurized to sign a false confession.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said that Manish Sisodia had indicated this through his lawyer yesterday. It is unfortunate that a person who worked for poor children and today when CBI lacks evidence, they do not have any proof of dishonesty of even a single rupee. Congress is being attacked too

9 leaders have written a letter to PM Modi regarding the misuse of investigative agencies, in which no Congress leader is involved. Saurabh Bhardwaj has fiercely targeted the Congress regarding this. He said that Congress has never stood with the opposition, this has been its history. He said that AAP have been hearing that BJP people used to say that they will put Rahul Gandhi and Robert Vadra in jail, Congress disappears when national issues are in front, this is just a war of words, when Arvind Kejriwal was raided.

On the question of contacting Congress, he said that Congress is also in the country, everyone knows what happened to Manish Sisodia? Congress claims to be elder brother, when this was happening with Manish Sisodia, curd was in his mouth. Sonia, where is Rahul Gandhi? The Congress wants the entire opposition to end and only it and the BJP remain.
