    Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

    NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Monday at 11:10AM

    JSW Energy(up 6.84%), DPSC(up 6.58%), Reliance Power(up 5.14%), Adani Transmissions(up 5.00%), Adani Power(up 4.99%), ADANIGREEN(up 4.99%), Karma Energy(up 4.89%), GE Power India Limited(up 3.31%), RTNPOWER(up 2.86%) and Orient Green Power Company(up 2.82%) were among the top gainers.

    Inox Wind Energy(down 0.81%) and PTC India(down 0.52%) were among the top losers.

    The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 177.95 points up at 17772.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 583.97 points at 60392.94 at around 11:10AM.

    Adani Enterprises(up 11.11%), Bajaj Finserv(up 3.0%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.67%), Infosys(up 2.21%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.89%), Tata Motors(up 1.78%), HDFC(up 1.59%), NTPC(up 1.48%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.45%) and Tata Consultancy(up 1.43%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

    On the other hand, Britannia Industries(down 2.62%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.24%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.14%), Cipla(down 0.12%) and JSW Steel(down 0.01%) were trading in the red.
