Panchamasalis block bypass over quota

Hubballi: Members of the Dharwad District Panchamasali Sangh blocked the Hubballi-Dharwad bypass at Gabbur Cross to mark the 50th day of their ongoing agitation led by Jaya Mrutyinjay Swamiji of Kudalasangam Panchamasali Peetha in Bengaluru.
The protesters said that the Panchamasali community has been fighting for 2A reservation status for the last one-and-a-half years but the state government has not taken any decision in their favour yet.
Shouting anti-government slogans, the protesters said that they will teach the government a lesson in the upcoming assembly elections if it continues to ignore their demands.
Ninganna Karikatti, Aravind Katagi, Mallanna Maradagi, CB Honnalli, Pradeep Patil, Satish Noolvi, Shankaragouda Balanagoudra, Mailari Dharwad, Mahesh Desai, GG Dyavanagoudra, among others, took part in the protest.
