Drunk student barred from flying American Airlines after he urinates on fellow passenger on New York-Delhi flight
As soon as the plane touched down, the suspect was arrested. The statements of those involved are being recorded by the police.

In yet another pee-gate incident, a passenger, who was in an inebriated state, was travelling in a New York-New Delhi American Airlines on Saturday when he allegedly urinated on a male fellow passenger. Following the incident, American Airlines cancelled his return and barred him from travelling in the future on their airlines.
The incident happened on flight number AA292 which took off from New York at 9:16 pm on Friday and landed after 14 hours and 26 minutes of flying at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in Delhi at 10:12 pm on Saturday.
According to the reports, the accused was in an inebriated state and urinated while he was asleep. Somehow, it spilled and dropped on another passenger, who complained to the crew. The accused is identified as Arya Vohra, a student in the US.
The victim, however, refused to file the complaint to the police after the accused apologized stating that it might put his career in jeopardy. However, the airline reported the matter to the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at the IGI airport.
When the crew learned about the event on board, they alerted the pilot, who then reported it to the ATC, who later informed the CISF officials, and handed the accused passenger over to the Delhi Police. The airline’s own security team, along with the CISF, came into action after the incident came to light. As soon as the plane touched down, the suspect was arrested. The statements of those involved are being recorded by the police.
The airline in a complaint said Upon the aircraft’s arrival, Purser informed that the passenger was heavily intoxicated. He urinated on a passenger seated on 15G. We along with the CISF officer (at Delhi’s IGI airport) disembarked the passenger from the aircraft who was still in an intoxicated condition. On basis of the above, we would be cancelling his travelling his return and future travel on our flight, the airline added.
This is the second such incidence of mid-air pee incident in the last few months. On November 26, an almost similar incident took place on a New York-Delhi Air India flight, in which a man named Shankar Mishra had allegedly urinated in a drunken state on an elderly woman.
Following the incident, a police complaint was filed against Mishra who spent nearly a month in jail before releasing on a bail. He was barred from flying for four months. The DGCA imposed a fine of Rs 30 lakh on Air India for not reporting the matter within 12 hours of the incident in accordance with the norm.
