North Korea demands UN action as US-South Korea drills raise tensions to 'extremely dangerous level'

North Korea's foreign ministry called on the United Nations to urge a halt to joint military drills by Seoul and Washington, state media reported Sunday. The drills and rhetoric from the allies have pushed tensions to an "extremely dangerous level," vice foreign minister Kim Son Gyong said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.
