Uttar Pradesh DGP DS Chauhan announced a cash reward of Rs 2.5 lakh on five suspects of Umesh Pal murder case, on Sunday.
The suspects have been identified as Asad Ahmad (son of Atiq Ahmad), Armaan, Ghulam, Guddu Muslim, and Sabir.
Additional DG Law and Order, Prashant Kumar, said that the police operation is also being monitored from the DGP headquarters, while DGP is himself keeping a close watch of the police proceedings.
"All the possible hideouts of suspects named in the attack on Umesh Pal are being raided and the will be arrested soon,” said Kumar.
Two senior officers of the STF are camping in Prayagraj to trace the killers, rummaging the associates of criminals and also interrogating those behind bars who were associates of Atiq in the past.

Police commissioner, Prayagraj, Ramit Sharma said that eight police teams had been formed to arrest the shooters involved in the murder.
Senior police officials said teams had been sent to Lucknow, Sultanpur, and districts bordering Nepal in search of the shooters.
