GURGAON: The city witnessed gusty winds and partly cloudy skies on Saturday, due to which the maximum temperature dropped by three degrees Celsius. It was 26.6 degrees Celsius, which is near the normal for this time of the year, compared to 29.7 degrees on Friday.
The minimum temperature, on the other hand, rose slightly to 16.3 degrees Celsius - five notches above the normal - from 15.5 degrees the previous day. IMD attributed the change in weather to a western disturbance and induced cyclonic circulation.
Strong surface winds with speeds ranging from 20kmph to 30kmph are likely to prevail over the next two days, it said.
Meanwhile in Delhi, the maximum temperature was 29.7 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, at Safdarjung, which is the city's base station. Before this, the last time it was below 30 degrees Celsius was on February 24 (29.8 degrees).
The maximum temperature is predicted to hover around 30 degrees Celsius in the next two days. The minimum temperature at Safdarjung was reported at 13.1 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal.
