Mohanlal's 'Barroz' planning to release on Onam

Ace actor Mohanlal is all set to don the director’s cap for his maiden venture ‘Barroz’ and for the same reason, audiences are eagerly waiting for every update from the movie. According to the latest reports, the makers are planning to release the movie on Onam this year. Although there has been no official confirmation yet, the production designer Santhosh Raman reportedly told a media outlet that Mohanlal’s ‘Barroz’ will be hitting the big screens on Onam. Santhosh Raman is best known as a production designer for the movies ‘Alone’, ‘Twenty One Grams’, ‘Malik’, and several others. He will be also doing the production design for ‘Barroz’. Helmed by Mohanlal, ‘Barroz’s story revolves around a 400-year-old spirit who is assigned the duty of protecting D’Gama’s treasure that should be handed over to the only true descendent of D’Gama. Mohanlal plays the central character Barroz in the movie and the rest of the cast majorly includes foreign actors. ‘Minnal Murali’ fame Guru Somasundaram will be playing a significant role in Mohanlal’s debut directorial venture ‘Barroz’.
