Voter enrolment drive a big success in Secunderabad

SECUNDERABAD: The special voter enrolment drive in Secunderabad Cantonment received an overwhelming response from residents. Over 16,000 applications were filed during the special drive, urging for inclusion of their names. The special drive concluded on Saturday.
According to officials, many residents in the eight wards whose names were missing in the voter list sent request for inclusion of their names. Official teams will verify their pleas by visiting addresses of the residents.
On March 14 and 16, objections on their claims will be looked at and on March 23, the final draft of the voters list will be published and displayed at the SCB main office and uploaded in the official portal. The voters can check their names in the draft voters' list, said an official.
All former SCB ward members were involved in the voter enrolment drive. Elections will be held on April 30.
