Panaji: Stating that the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has suffered at the hands of militancy as his grandmother Indira Gandhi and father Rajiv Gandhi were assassinated by terrorists, the Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao on Sunday said that those who suffered from terrorism can understand the pain.

“I request the Chief Minister to watch the speech of the national leader Rahul Gandhi delivered in Srinagar-Kashmir on concluding day of historic Bharat Jodo Yatra,” Alemao stated, adding, it appears that ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo’ campaign has once again rattled the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Leader of the Opposition shot back with two tweets in response to the series of tweets posted by Sawant questioning Rahul Gandhi after his

speech at the Cambridge University.

He also shared a link of video of the speech of Gandhi at Srinagar narrating his experience after Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were assassinated.

“It is a fact that Rahul Gandhi paid tributes to Pulwama martyrs during the yatra and has strongly demanded action from government against aggression of China in Indian territory,” Alemao mentioned.

He further said that the national leader Rahul Gandhi has categorically spoken about putting an end to militancy as Congress has always fought against terrorism and militancy.
