Richard Lewis, an esports journalist, now reports that Valve has been working on CS2 for a while and intends to announce and release the beta version later this month.

According to Richard’s source, a new version of Counter-Strike is in the works and is expected to be released soon under the working title “Counter Strike 2”. Valve’s development team, including members who have worked on previous versions of the game, has been prioritizing the creation of the new game, which is anticipated to be released as a beta in March, with a tentative date of April 1st.

The source explains that this may be why some issues with CS: GO have been overlooked, as the focus is on getting the new game out and ensuring it meets player expectations. Once released, the game will be polished, bugs will be fixed, and it will be brought up to the level expected from Counter-Strike.

The CS2 is likely to include a significantly enhanced matching mechanism. The game will debut with matchmaking features comparable to the current version of CS: GO, which will be improved over time. According to the reports, Counter Strike 2 is almost ready for beta release and has already been tested.

While no official details or a release date have been confirmed, the reports claim that the Counter-Strike 2 is legit and that a beta test will take place in March. It is unclear when Valve will officially announce the game, leaving fans to wait in suspense.
