Woman arrested after vehicle hits Port Huron restaurant

A 27-year-old woman was arrested early Sunday after her vehicle crashed into McCormick's restaurant, said Port Huron police Lt. Patrick Eash.
He said officers were near the establishment at 2326 Conner St. on an unrelated called when they observed a vehicle southbound on 24th Street disregard a flashing red light and hit the building about 2:20 a.m.
No one was inside at the time and the woman was the only person in the vehicle, Eash said. No injuries were reported.
Eash said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident.
"Due to uncontrollable circumstances, we will be closed for the time being we appreciate your support and yes, we were told that the driver is OK we do not have any other information at this time. Thank you to all for your understanding," McCormick's posted to Facebook Sunday morning.
Jason McCormick said he had no comment Sunday.
