Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched a scathing attack on the Opposition parties in the country alleging that the Modi government is selling off all government assets. In the eighth edition of Raisina Dialogue, which is underway in the national capital where she attacked Opposition parties and said, “There is no sector in India that is not available for the private sector to be in and function. Public sector policy is not a crazy one, the government is not selling out everything. Opposition fully understands the meaning but says we are selling them off. We are not selling them off,” Nirmala Sitharaman said.Later, Sitharaman clarified that the government is only divesting those properties that are not performing, and their focus is on ensuring sustainable growth by efficiently utilising resources.
