SAD MP Harsimrat Badal attacks AAP govt in Punjab for 'inaction' on Ajnala incident

JALANDHAR: As she continued holding meetings in Jalandhar on Saturday for second consecutive day, Shiromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal strongly criticized Bhagwamt Mann government for not taking any action on the Ajnala incident against Amritpal Singh and his associates and accused the government of demoralizing police and people.
"In Ajnala police station was captured, police officials received injuries on their heads and were forced to free a man arrested in a case but our government is so helpless and weak that they are not able to take any action against them (Amritpal and his associates). It is demoralizing police and people and that is the reason the industry is rushing out of Punjab. In face of no industry, there would be no jobs and that is the reason children are rushing to foreign countries," she said while speaking to media.
Further attacking Amritpal on the Ajnala episode, Harsimrat argued, "The saddest thing was that the one who talks about Amrit Snachar (baptizing people) used Guru Guranth Sahib as a shield to take out one of his associates arrested in a personal fight. It is sacrilegious. It was a misuse of Guru Granth Sahib. Law and order was already poor. Now government is not taking any action and law and order is being further spoiled," she argued.
Harsimrat said that there was conspiracy against Punjab to destroy peace, to spread the tentacles of drugs to every house and to make industry to move out of the state. "The three parties being run from Delhi (AAP, Congress and BJP) are damaging Punjab," she said.
Responding to a question, she said that former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh was actually working as an agent of BJP when he was Congress chief minister and always spoke centre’s language.
"Delhi parties want hegemonic control over Punjab," she said.
