Tiger Woods will not play in the upcoming The Players Championship. 43 of the world's top 50 players are featured in the 144-player field, but the two-time Players Champion's name is missing among them.

Woods spoke about his limited schedule moving forward at the Genesis Invitational but didn't specify which event he would play prior to the Masters.

"Hopefully, this year I can get all four and maybe sprinkle in a few here and there," Woods was quoted during Genesis Invitational. "But that's it for the rest of my career. I know that and I understand that. That's just my reality."

The 15-time major winner was expected to play at TPC Sawgrass. However, it seems that Woods has decided to tee it up next at Augusta National.
