KANPUR: A team of senior government officials visited the Boat Club here on Friday to review its functioning and to make the services better.
The Boat Club was inaugurated by chief minister Yogi Adityanath on December 9 last year and was opened for the public on December 24.
The Boat Club has become a centre of attraction for the locals and the people from the adjoining areas in the last two months. Thousands of people come to the club daily and enjoy boat rides with children and family members.
The team included divisional commissioner Raj Shekhar, ADM City (secretary administration) and secretary, water sports, Neeraj Srivastava.
As per the communique issued by the divisional commissioner's office, with the onset of the summer season and great public demand, the club timings have been modified.
“It will now open at 6 am and close at 9 pm. The new schedule will come into force from March 4”, the communique stated.
Looking into the need of more and more boats as per the demand and requirements of people, four more boats have been added to its existing fleet, the communique further said.
The user charges have also been fixed for the newly added motor boat and speed boats Jet Ski Bike.
For a motor boat one will have to pay Rs 150/person/trip. Similarly, the charges for speed boats will be Rs 200/person/trip and the Jet ski Bike charges are Rs 300/person/trip.
It is mandatory for all guests to follow the safety norms required at the Boat Club to enjoy a safe and joyful boat ride.
