MYSURU: Amid speculation that BJP ministers V Somanna and KC Narayanagowda may jump ship ahead of assembly polls, Mysuru district in-charge minister ST Somashekar on Friday said he hasn’t got any offer from the Congress. “I’m a BJP man and the party has asked me to work in Mysuru,” he said.
Somashekar, who won on a Congress ticket from Yeshwanthpur, had quit the party in 2019, joined the BJP, and went on to become a minister. Along with him Narayanagowda too joined the party. Earlier this week, Narayanagowda informed he is being invited by Congress leaders which he is considering. Somanna, district in charge minister of Chamarajanagar. has skipped BJP’s Vijaysankalpa Yatra, which was inaugurated by BJP president JP Nadda.
Somashekar said Somanna is a veteran leader and has 45 years of experience in politics and he would answer all queries regarding his absence. He claimed that Narayanagowda is not inclined to quit the BJP.
