Meta has announced a bunch of new features to improve the Facebook Reels user experience for creators. The biggest update is that it now supports Reels up to 90 seconds. There are a couple more features that offer new ways of creating Reels and making them look better for more engagement.
Facebook Reels have been restricted to 60 seconds for quite some time. This is on the smaller side when compared to the time limit on other platforms including Meta's own Instagram. The team is finally taking care of the situation by allowing users to create Facebook Reels up to 90 seconds in length. This is still nowhere close to TikTok's 10-minute limit but still an improvement.
The second new feature is the ability to share Memories as Reels. It can be done just with a few options once you have selected which memory to share. Groove is another new feature for creators to ensure that their reels are fun and ready for trends. It will essentially automatically sync the video's motion with the beat of the song.
Lastly, Templates is a feature that will let creators follow the format of Reels with ease. This is surely an important addition for creators who want to follow the latest trends but do not how to edit at the same level. It is also beneficial when you do not have time to create a new reel. All these features have started rolling out already and should become available at your end sooner than later.
