Actor Sheezan Khan, who was arrested in connection with his co-actor and former girlfriend Tunisha Sharma's suicide, was granted bail today (March 4).
The Alibaba Dastaan-e-Kabul actor was taken into custody on December 26 after the late actress' mother filed a complaint of abetment to suicide.

The actor has been in jail for almost 2 and half months.
Sheezan's lawyer Shailendra told ETimes TV, “Sachhai ki jeet hui hai, Satyameva Jayate. He was innocent, he is innocent. The judgement in the High Court will also prove his innocence. Our hearing at the High Court is pending. It is on March 9, where we will seek to quash the FIR filed against him. He has been granted bail by the Vasai court. I will try to get him out this evening or Monday morning. We are thankful and grateful to everybody who has supported us and not supported us.”

He further told BT, “Sheezan has been granted bail on a surety of Rs 1,00,000. We are in the process of complying with the terms and conditions set out by the court. Other conditions that he has been asked to abide by are not tampering with the evidence, influencing the complainant, and traveling without prior permission. He has been directed to attend trial regularly.”

Sheezan was the prime accused in 20-yr-old Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case. Tunisha died by suicide on December 24 on the sets of Ali Baba – Dastaan E Kabul.
