Vadodara: It was a Ripley’s moment for passers-by on the Kalali Road on Friday when they spotted a giant crocodile resting on the tar. The 12-feet-long crocodile had crawled out of the Vishwamitri River that flows nearby and managed to reach a broken wall of a pumping station, but got stuck in debris. “We got a call that a huge crocodile was spotted near the wall. It was rescued safely,” said a forest official. With water levels going down in the river, crocodiles often venture out and look for other water bodies in the city. tnn
