Woman, 4-year-old daughter found dead in Mangaluru

MANGALURU: In a suspected suicide pact reported from a house in Kodialguttu, a woman and her four-year-old daughter were found dead on Wednesday.
Providing details, city police commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R Jain said that it is a case of suicide, involving a mother and her daughter. The deceased are Vijaya,33, and her daughter Shobika.
Another 12-year-old daughter of the woman, had also allegedly attempted to die by suicide with her mother and sister, but survived, and sustained an injury on her neck. The incident took place in the hall of their house.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Vijay’s husband also died by suicide, by consuming rat poison on February 8.
