DigiYatra App: Face recognition technology to be available for passengers at IGI airport terminals by end March, check details

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Wednesday confirmed that the airport authority will be releasing a facial technology-based DigiYatra facility for all passengers at the end of March. The step has been taken to cut down the unnecessary long queues and time-consuming process and to create ease for the passenger to pass through the boarding gates of Terminals 2 and 3 by with the help of the application.

While confirming the news DIAL in its official statement said that after the installation all the required infrastructure of DigiYatra at the biggest airports in the city Terminal 3 and Terminal 2, more than 40 percent of the daily domestic travelers will have the seamless entry into the terminal without any hassle or investing too much time at a time. The application will be used at the security check area, and boarding gates, DIAL added in its statement.

The airport authority also revealed that with the use of the advanced facial technology-based DigiYatra facility, passengers will be able to save 20 to 25 minutes in the check-in process. At peak days, they will save more than 35 minutes, airport authority said.

It was launched on December 1 last year at the Delhi airport. At present, around 2500 passengers are using it. For this, before reaching the airport, only the face has to be registered on the DigiYatra app. Privacy has been taken care of in this, DIAL stated.

In case of any difficulty in registering themselves on DigiYatra, authority also releases a customer care number 0124-4797311/0120-6838400, requesting the users to contact there if they feel any trouble while using the application.

For the passenger’s convenience, DIAL also set up a help desk at Terminals 2 and 3, which will provide all the related information about the technology. DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar said that DigiYatra software is one of the advanced software. Passengers will be able to benefit from face recognition technology. The app can easily be downloaded from Google Play Store.

According to a leaked report, Vivo V27 Pro will be offered in three RAM and storage variants in India, which include 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants. The price of the base variant is said to be Rs 37,999. At the same time, the top variant can be launched at a price of Rs 42,999.

The phone already has been listed on Flipkart which shows the handset will be offered with 3D curved display and ultra slim design. Vivo V27 Pro will be just 7.4mm thin and will get 120Hz refresh rate with it, under which the customers will have a high-definition screen experience while playing any video. A color-changing back panel will also be available with the phone.

Vivo V27 Pro will feature a three rear cameras setup at the back, paired with a ring LED flashlight. The primary lens in the phone will be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V sensor, with which OIS will also be supported.
