KANPUR: Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) on Wednesday got one more success at the Allahabad high court when it won a legal suit regarding the plot measuring around 6000 square meter situated in Bara Sirohi village in Kanpur Nagar.
The high court heard the Writ Petition no 53996 of 2012 (Kailash Prasad Tiwari V/s State of UP and others regarding plot no. 1356,1723,1112, 1104, and 1163 and decided it in favour of KDA. The value of the plot is around Rs 20 crore.
According to law officer and the public relations officer, SB Rai, in the last one month the high court had decided as many as four significant writ petitions in favour of KDA. KDA vice- chairman Arvind Singh himself monitors all the suits and writ petitions in which vests KDA’s interest. KDA had won almost all the writ petitions in the high court, he added.
The close monitoring of legal matters and strong legal action by KDA had discouraged land mafias and those who had occupied the KDA land.
Wednesday was an important day for KDA as a team of senior officers /doctors from the Uttar Pradesh branch of a reputed corporate hospital chain visited the site of New Kanpur City scheme along with the KDA officials.
The team witnessed the New Kanpur Scheme and discussed it with the KDA officials. The team responded positively to the outline of the project and its proposed design and expressed its eagerness in principle to collaborate in operating a large hospital.
