Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of NMDC Steel Ltd., Spectrum Electrical, Perfect Infraenginee, Soma Textiles and Vera Synthetic, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 129.0 points down at 17321.9 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as North Eastern, SVP Global, SMVD Poly Pack, Vinny Overseas and Indiabulls Enterprises Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 15 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 35 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ports SEZ, Adani Ent., Coal India Ltd, BPCL and Hero MotoCorp were among top gainers during the day, while Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank, TCS, M&M and SBI Life ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 501.73 points down at 58909.35.

Traders piled up positions in Learning & Education, Shipping, Real Estate, Term Lending Institutions and Mining sectors, while selling was witnessed in Infrastructure, Petrochemicals, Media & Entertainment, Cables and Electric/Electronics sectors during the day.
