Three killed, four injured in road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur

KANPUR: Three people were killed and four others including two women and children injured after a speeding pickup vehicle rammed into a roadside tree near Deomanpur village ahead of Paras village turn on the Ghatampur-Jehanabad road in Ghatampur town of the Kanpur on Thursday morning.
The victims, residents of Jalaun were heading to Fatehpur via Kanpur in a pickup loader, when the accident took place. It is being said that the accident happened when the driver apparently dozed off while driving.
"The accident happened when the driver of a Pickup vehicle apparently fell asleep while driving. The deceased include Guddu (50) and Arif (28), of Pahelwan Bada of Jalaun and Ramzan (24) of Haldharpur area in Bhognipur town of Kanpur Dehat district," said ACP Ghatampur Dinesh Kumar Shukla and added, "All the injured have been admitted to Ghatampur CHC."
