Protest against proposed Vaishno Devi Ropeway in Katra

Hundreds of people staged a peaceful protest in Katra against the proposed ropeway project at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine atop Trikuta hills in Jammu and Kashmir. The locals said that the ropeway will affect those who make their living as porters and pony wallahs.
