Securing first place in the list of the state's best-performing government medical college hospitals, Government Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital has scored the highest with 300.6 points this year.

Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital is a major state-owned hospital situated in Chennai, India. Founded in 1664 by the British East India Company, it is the first modern hospital in India. The hospital has more than 52 operation theatres, besides intensive care units and post-operative wards.
