Rahul Sipligunj to perform 'Naatu Naatu' LIVE at Oscars 2023; says, "This is going to be unforgettable moment"
As reported earlier, 'Naatu Naatu' from the film RRR has been nominated for the Oscars. As per the latest reports, 'Naatu Naatu' singers Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj will perform LIVE at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony on March 12.
Rahul Sipligunj has confirmed the same with his recent social media post. Sharing the news with his fans on Instagram, Rahul wrote, "This is going to be unforgettable moment in my life (sic)"


Wishes are pouring in for the popular playback singer and independent musician in the comments section. From Ashu Reddy to Mehaboob Dilse and 'Aata' Sandeep, celebs have been sending out their best wishes to Rahul along with fans and followers.

The song won the Oscar nomination in the category of 'Best Original Song' at the 95th Academy Awards in January. The song has been shortlisted for the same in December 2022. Notably, Naatu Naatu is the first Indian song to be shortlisted for the Oscars and to have won an Oscar nomination in the category. The song has already won a Golden Globe award recently.


For the unversed, Naatu Naatu was originally composed by MM Keeravani for RRR and the Telugu version was co-sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. Lyrics were penned by Chandrabose. Rahul had also lent voice to the Kannada, Tamil and Hindi versions of the song too. Rahul has expressed his gratitude towards composer MM Keeravani, SS Rajamouli and others on multiple occasions recently.


The song that showcases the pride of local pulsating beats to the British officials through a dance-off between the lead characters Ramaraju (Ram Charan), Bheem (NTR Jr) and supporting role Edward (Edward Sonnenblick) was shot at the Mariinsky Palace in Kyiv, Ukraine, in August 2021.
