Ahmedabad weather: Maximum temperature to rise further from Friday

AHMEDABAD: On Tuesday, the maximum temperature reached 37°C, which was 4.1 degrees higher than normal. On the other hand, minimum temperature was close to par at 17 degrees.
On Wednesday, the temperatures are likely to be around 37°C and 16°C respectively, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast.
Temperature swings continued in the city with difference of 20 degrees between day and night temperatures. According to IMD forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to rise by 2-4 degrees celsius from Friday onwards.
On Tuesday, the IMD tweeted that February this year recorded the highest average maximum temperatures since 1901 at 29.5°C all over India and 24.9°C for Northwest India. It is notable that Ahmedabad had recorded one of the highest daily temperatures for February this month, whereas several of the weather stations recorded high temperatures mid-February.
