Umesh Pal murder: House of Atiq Ahmed's close aide demolished in Prayagraj

PRAYAGRAJ: A joint team of Prayagraj police, administration and Prayagraj Development Authority on Wednesday started the exercise of demolishing the house of Khalid Zafar, a close associate of mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed at Chakia area in Prayagraj.

Before taking the demolition exercise, a police team searched the house and seized weapons, documents and photographs from the house.

Police officials said Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen along with her two sons was staying in this house since their ancestral house was demolished at Chakia area two years back.

Vice-chairman of Prayagraj Development Authority, Arvind Singh, said that the demolition exercise was started as the house was built without sanctioning of the map from agency concerned.
