BSP MLA offers land for medical college in Ballia

LUCKNOW: BSP lone MLA, Uma Shankar Singh, on Tuesday offered to give his 30 bigha of land to the state government free of cost for opening a medical college in Ballia.
During a discussion on budget in the assembly, Singh said the proposal for a medical college has been pending since last year, but the government could not find land.
"I am willing to give my own land for it," he said. The land, in his constituency of Rasra, straddles 30 bigha. Singh said the government had the power to tweak the policy to get the land, "wherever it is available".
