Mysuru: Actor Darshan’s supporter booked

MYSURU: Actor Darshan’s supporter has been booked for assaulting a city-based businessman at a restaurant. Hebbal police have filed a case of assault and wrongful restraint against an unnamed accused. It is said that Darshan was present when the incident took place.
R Yashavanth Kumar, a resident of Bogadi, told police that the incident happened in the early hours of February 26. He was at a restaurant in Hebbal Industrial area to celebrate his wife’s birthday late on February 25. Darshan and his associates too had come to the restaurant where a DJ was playing music.
Yashavanth said he requested the DJ to play Puneeth Rajkumar’s song around 00.30am and the DJ said he would play it after two songs. Even before the complainant could return to his table, an associate from Darshan’s group held his collar and assaulted him, saying only ‘D Boss’ songs would be played, the complaint states.
