Heritage Inspired, a tourism company, will organise a seashore trail named ‘Neithal Trail’ in Chennai to learn about diverse landforms and their purposes along our coastline, to learn about coastal trees, their features, and the benefits of having them in our neighbourhood, and marine life and their role in the eco-system.
This experiential tour embarks on a journey to the natural heritage ecosystems in the southern part of the city along the East Coast, the importance of their existence, and how carefully the entire pattern is intricately knit.
The tour includes Pallikaranai Marshland, Okkiyam Madavu, Muttukadu, Nemmeli, a tree walk through indigenous trees of the coast, Vayalur, Odiyur Lake, Birds View Point. This will be followed by lunch at Arulville Eco Villa, and a fun and instructive session at the beach.
It will also involve interactions with local fisherman. It will travel 230 kilometres from Adyar to the Alamparai fort and return.
The trail is scheduled for March 4.
