Payment methods have evolved and changed dramatically over the years. Gone are the days when payments through cash or physical cards were the only options. Even small shops now accept mobile payments via Google Wallet, which is now expanding in more countries. The app is now available for Android and Wear OS devices in 60 more countries.

In a blog post, Google revealed that Wallet support for Wear OS devices is rolling out to a few new countries. Among these, Google has specifically highlighted a few countries, including Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Kuwait. Those, along with other countries, make up a total of 62 countries where Google Wallet is available on Wear OS.

Google Wallet has expanded its user base to more than 60 countries

Google provided the last update to the list of countries that support Wallet in August 2022. Back then, Google Wallet was present in 45 countries. Now, the new countries include Armenia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Ecuador, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Even if you see the name of your country in the list of supported countries, you still need to make sure that the shop where you are trying to complete the transaction supports Google Wallet. For first-time users, you need to install the Google Wallet app on your Android phone, which will then appear on your Wear OS smartwatch.

Do note that only Wear OS 2 and Wear OS 3 smartwatches support this feature. Now, simply add the credit card to Google Wallet, and you are ready to make the purchases.
